His Loving Arms

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I have been inside my house looking at the outside from my study room and also the back porch. Yes, we are experiencing the snow and the bitter cold and yet I find that sometimes being on the inside and looking outside changes my perspective. Yesterday morning when I looked out my window after the sun rays began to spread across the snow it was no longer a white layer but became a field of diamonds sparkling. It was such a beautiful scene that I wanted to capture on my camera but didn't come out the way my eyes were seeing this marvelous field of brilliance. It became a winter wonderland. I was thankful for the Lord opening my eyes to see the beauty of my day. It is the little moments in my life that seem to overflow into my heart that fills me with Joy. This is my prayer for all of you - Abba Father, all Praise and Glory to Your Name, Lord thank you for the little moments in our lives, the moments that come when we least expect them and it is then we are swooped up into Your loving arms and I ask that each dear and precious sister-in-Christ, will be swooped up into Your loving arms today. In Jesus Name, Amen. Feeling His Presence,

A New Scarf

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I thought I might share one of my adventures! It involves meeting a beautiful lady on the plane and a gift of a scarf. The story begins with an answer to prayer. It had been a few years since I had traveled and the first time in many, many years since I had traveled alone. I was hoping to sit next to someone who would be friendly to ease my stress of flying especially the take off and landing. The arrangements had been made through a travel company from an organzation that my husband had founded back in the 80"s. The first leg was from Dayton to Denver. When I got on the plane and found my seat I was sitting next to a woman who had dark brown curly hair. She helped me in finding my seatbelt which was stuck in the seat and her voice was so sweet. As we were taking off she reached over and touched my hand that was gripping the handle. It was then that I knew my prayers had been answered and we started chatting. I complimented her on her beautiful curly hair and it was then that she told her story about how God had been with her the previous year. I asked her if I could pray for her and she readily agreed. Then I shared about my loss and why I was flying to Las Vegas. About mid flight she noticed that I was wearing a scarf and explained that she always wore them because of the warmth of them around her neck. She also shared that she had so many that her husband told her that she could not buy any more unless she gave one away. And she was very much interested in buying another one and was having a dilema about it. For some reason I told her that I would take one. She looked at me and said yes I have the perfect one for you. We exchanged contact information and a couple of weeks ago received a package from her. Hopefully we will be able to meet again and of course with the technology of cell phones we are only moments away from connecting. It indeed was an adventure - an answered prayer, a divine encounter, and a scarf sent and received with delight and thankfulness in the meeting. Let us pray - Heavenly Father, Gracious and Kind and Merciful, O Lord, Praise to thee for divine encounters the ones that bring Joy and Hope and Your Presence. Lord I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as she wakes up and takes that first breath and wonders what her day will bring may she have an adventurous day just knowing that You are her Creator. In Jesus Name, Amen. Thankful for adventures in life,

Matthew the Tax Collector - Matthew 9:9

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I started reading the book of Matthew this past week. Yesterday I stopped at the end of chapter seven. This morning, getting ready to post, reaching for my open bible I see the heading, "Matthew Called", in chapter nine. Matthew had already written the genealogy and all the parables and miracles previously but then in chapter 9:9, "As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector's booth; and He said to him, "Follow Me!" And he got up and followed Him." This got me to thinking - how many times in the lives of people throughout all the generations have read or heard about Jesus, who He was and what He did and were either complacent or outright in defiance to listening or understanding? And yet - Yes, there is an "and yet"! There has to be because Jesus "saw a man..." Jesus saw the man's heart for it goes on to say that there were "many tax collectors and sinners came and were dining with Jesus". This was an amazing testimony stuck in the chapter 9 of Matthew. We live our lives and do our tasks and learn about different things in live and suddenly in the middle of our ordinary lives someone will interrupt our comings and goings with something so profound as "do you know who Jesus is?" I hope that we all will have a testimony to tell about, our encounter with the Son of God. Let us pray - Abba Father, Praise and Glory to You our God, our Lord. May it be so that when and if the question is asked that we will have an answer and our testimony would be so bold and glorious that You would be glorified by how You were the instigator of it ALL. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings,

Welcome to the Year of 2026

Greetings dear and precious sisters-in-Christ, I started a four week devotional study the first week of January. It is titled, "The Power of Words" by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. The first week's memory verse, Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." I must admit that I have had to do a great amount of sharing over the last few months since my husband passed away. Friends and family and casual acquaintances were very much interested in the details and after listening they asked how I was doing and/or feeling and after talking with a few neighbors, who only knew my husband since we have moved here, about 2 1/2 years and gave me hugs of comfort and words of encouragement and support, I realized that in order to introduce them to my faith in the Lord. It was after the trip to Hawaii where we (my son and I) had done what my husband had requested that the way I speak into other people's lives was something that the Lord was prompting me to do. I prayed about it and asked Him resulting in this little booklet. For those of you that have comforted me and encouraged me and continue to stay connected with me I am forever grateful for your friendship and fellowship. As I walk into this year I pray that the Lord will direct my path and give me strength and guide me through my days. Let us pray - Abba Father, Glorious Lord thank You that You are my Lord, You are my Strength and I pray for each dear and precious sister-in-Christ that as she walks through her day and asks and seeks You that she will boldly proclaim the promises of God and embrace the Word. In Jesus Name, Amen. Blessings,
